Tazewell County made a big change to its mail policy. As of June 23, 2025, the Justice Center uses digital mail delivery. The facility no longer handles postal mail at its physical address in Pekin. All mail for inmates must go to a processing center instead. The new mail address format is: inmate's full name, inmate ID, Tazewell County Justice Center, Illinois, P.O. Box 247, Phoenix, MD 21131.
Books are no longer accepted at the Justice Center either. This is part of the new policy. Only medication that can be dropped off by family is insulin and inhalers. That rule went into effect on April 1, 2019. All other medications must go through the facility's medical staff. These rules apply to everyone on the Tazewell County jail roster.
